Back to back with its Sky Vegas deal, CryptoLogic has announced the signing of a three-year casino software contract with Gaming Media Group, owner of The Poker Channel and PokerHeaven.com.

CryptoLogic has signed a three year casino licensing contract with Sky Bet, the interactive gaming division of BSkyB Group, the UK's leading entertainment company with a digital television presence in a third of all households in the UK and Ireland.

Online poker forums have been abuzz this week with news that Finnish tax authorities are pursuing poker players who fail to declare their winnings, exposing widespread confusion about the subject. JAXX AG has moved closer to its goal of becoming economically independent of the German lottery market reporting a 73% increase in revenues to €29.8 million for the second quarter of 2008, on the back of dynamic growth in its sports and horse betting businesses, as well as its lottery operations outside of Germany.

London Capital Group has reported revenues of £12.51 million for the first half of 2008, an increase of 54% over on the same period last year, contributing to a 58% rise in profit for the period to £3.94 million.

Ladbrokes plc has reported results for the half year ended June 30th 2008, with gross win from continuing operations increasing 6% to £648.3 million in line with management expectations. Declining contributions from high rollers however impacted the results, with the company posting a 22% drop in net profit to £101.9 million.

Three men who operated an affiliate business in the United States promoting online gaming operator BetOnSports entered a guilty plea Wednesday in the district court of St. Louis.
